To ensure
consistent availability of truly organic butters & oils whilst
supporting our principles of sustainability for those people less
fortunate, there was a real need for a unique supplier involved with
all areas of the certified organic process.
A
supplier not only working hands on with the small growers &
co-operatives but a supplier with in-depth expertise of crop growing
& processing.A supplier who takes
responsibility, by
putting knowledge & support back into the grower communities,
ensuring reliability of quality & sustainability.
A tall
order, however, we found what we needed to truly satisfy our ethics.
As a
result, we have as a main supplier, the expertise of a World Class
organisation within the Organic Oils & Body Butters industry, a
company that operates right in the heart of the grower regions with
quality facilities that serve the local communities. A company with
all the necessary accreditation’s & quality approvals.
Supply programmes are built on win win relationships, our customers
win with quality products whilst the growers, co-operatives &
local
communities win with fair prices & educational support in organic
farming methods.
For
example – our main supplier started a project with around 90
small-scale farmers located on the slopes of Mount Kenya, providing
them with training in soil management & crop growing techniques,
the
group has now grown to over 250.
That is
over 250 small-scale farmers producing sustainable quality organic
produce for essential oils, giving them a fair living, fairer prices
& a healthier lifestyle.
Our main supplier applies these principles throughout Africa &
other
Worldwide locations, supporting various small scale farmers,
plantations & community groups.
Without
question, the grower groups receive opportunities they would not
otherwise have in a World Wide market.
